Joanne Guzman is a Clinical Research Coordinator at ECRI for the Ophthalmic branches operating in Falls Church, VA. She is responsible for the conduction of various cutting-edge research that is currently breaking boundaries for curing and treating multiple eye diseases that affect people across the nation and the world.

Joanne has over 15 years of experience in the Ophthalmic field starting out as a receptionist and moving her way up to an Ophthalmic Assistant. She became a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COA) with IJCAHPO in 2018 and is continuing her education in ophthalmology. She has worked with doctors that specialize in General Ophthalmology, LASIK, Cataract surgery, Corneal surgery, and Glaucoma surgery. She enjoys the rewards that come from working with the community and the idea of helping individuals improve and maintain their vision. Joanne is bilingual in English and Spanish. She was born and raised in Arlington, Virginia but her family is from El Salvador. Joanne’s greatest joys are spending time with her family and being outdoors, especially at the beach with her feet in the sand.
