Fabian Sandoval, MD – Emerson Clinical Research InstituteFabian Sandoval, MD, attending his first Site Solutions Summit in October, 2013, was a seasoned researcher who had built a fulfilling and diversified research career in academia, healthcare systems and the public sector. He was an accomplished researcher with more than 18 years of bench-to-bedside experience, but had always dreamed of establishing his own site. The group testified to representatives of the Hispanic, Black and Asian cacus on Capitol Hill. Overview and importance of the issue to the industry. The focus on the need to ensure minority patients are adequately represented in clinical research studies across the country. Education of patients and physicians is a key to the success of minorities in research. The Im In campaign sponsored by PhRMA provides the tools needed to provide education, as well as providing a platform for patients to register themselves on a database so that researches and principal investigators can connect with potential study patients.
