Dr. Faggett enjoys a distinguished career as a pediatrician, health systems administrator, and policy analyst. He is a retired Armed Forces Colonel and Paratrooper; and the recipient of the Skinner Medal from the Academy of Health Sciences.  He served as Chair for Region V and the NMA’s Pediatric Section.

Dr. Faggett is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School. He completed internships and a pediatric residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Adolescent Medicine Fellowship DC Children’s Hospital (CNMC), and was a Psychiatric Liaison Fellow at DC General Hospital in Washington D.C. Dr. Faggett is Past President of the D.C. Medico- Chirurgical Society (an affiliate of the National Medical Association).  

Dr. Faggett is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Medicine, and Certified in Buprenorphine Addiction Medicine.  Dr. Faggett retired from the District of Columbia Department of Health (DCDOH) in July of 2008, where he served as Chief Medical Office and second-in-command of the entire health department and its citywide divisional networks.
