Dr. Malik received both is under graduate Honors Program and medical degree from University of Minnesota. Residency, University of Minnesota, Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Malik received The Harry Friedman Research Award: most outstanding resident research project.

Following his residency training Dr. Malik joined the National Retina Institute where he completed his retina fellowship and continued on as an attending physician. He recently has started a new retina practice in Northern Virginia: “Virginia Retina Specialists” and is excited to start this new endeavor. Recently, Dr. Malik has spoken on multiple occasions both locally and on a national level on breakthrough retinal laser technology, sub threshold Micro Pulse Laser, and its applications in diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, central serous chorioretinopathy, and other retinal conditions.
