Darrel Drobnich has more than 25 years of experience of translating scientific findings into public health messages, educational programs, public policy, fundraising, and advocacy initiatives in both the U.S. Senate and the non-profit sector. As president of the midAmr Group and as chief program officer of the National Sleep Foundation, he directed numerous national education, advocacy and public awareness programs to bring important public health and safety issues to millions of Americans. With a strong passion for social justice and experience in change management, he has identified and developed strategic partnerships and funding opportunities for numerous non-profit organizations with government agencies, foundations, and corporations to provide access to healthcare and education for underserved communities.

Darrel has written for national publications and has appeared in hundreds of national and international newspaper and magazine stories as well on media programs. He has also served expert panels for the Department of Transportation, Department of Health and Human Services, and the National Institutes of Health. Darrel is a veteran of numerous political and social campaigns and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Michigan. He is an advocate at heart and lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland with his family.
