MD. Audrey Escobedo-Escotto

Dr. Escobedo-Escotto is a trilingual international physician with experience in the clinical research area. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish. After completing her Bachelor in Science from Jules Verne French Institute, Dr. Escobedo-Escotto obtained her Medical Doctoral degree at the prestigious University Francisco Marroquin, in Guatemala. In 2019, she achieved her master’s degree in public health at George Washington University, in Washington D.C.

Dr. Escobedo-Escotto joined ECRI in May 2016, where she has been able to develop her passionate interest in working with patients whose needs are unmet by the public and private system. Currently, she works as Sub-Investigator in several clinical trials related to adult primary care and women’s health. She is the site director for our main research institute in Washington D.C.

She has been focused in health needs in the community and her main interest has always been to improve health access to minorities, especially women and children. Therefore, she decided to actively participate in the establishment of Emerson Community Clinic, where she became a co-founder.

At present, Dr. Escobedo-Escotto is part of the Emerson Diversity Health Foundation Board. She is also a weekly presenter on her medical segment “Salud en la Comunidad” in the TV series “Tu Salud Tu Familia” on Telemundo WZDC Washington D.C. During her free time, she enjoys playing guitar, playing tennis, traveling and spending time with her two boys and husband.
